So. I knew it was going to rain today. But yesterday, in all of my preparedness with boots and trench coat and umbrella, it didn't shed a drop. So I suppose I thought I'd wag my finger at it and let. me. tell. you. that weather showed me. I got to campus this morning amid the mad traffic rush and had an emergency gotta go right now bathroom attack. Yup, my bladder can't even make it the whole commute to class. So I'm downright squirming through the last few redlights, murmering to myself in some incomprehensible language and no doubt terrifying the passengers in cars beside me. By the time I made it to the parking lot, I bolted it from the car. Dirt lot, steep hill, rain. Fun. I'm sure I was quite the sight making my way to the law building, my wobbly, high-heeled legs trying their best to cross and hold it all in. Of course, I couldn't hold myself because (1) My hands were filled with ginormous law books (2) I was trying to hold the umbrella over my head and (3) I'm pretty sure that gesture is socially inappropriate at my age. Sometimes the temptation to revert back to toddlerhood is just too strong. Needless to say, my suede heels could use a little lovin' right now. Any ideas for cleaning those puppies up?

Love,

Ramsey

Too bad, they're adorable and are perfect for the outfit! I think they sell suede cleaner though. Same place you'd buy the waterproof spray.

So typical! The day when I go against all forecast, they decide to play me, I totally love the pop of orange, hope your pumps are safe!

You can get suede cleaning products usually from shoe shops. And it's always a good idea to scotch guard (which you can also get from shoe shops) suede or leather shoes before you wear them if you have the time ...

Love your orange suede shoes! So cute. I'm called bag lady at work. I always come in a tangled mess of 3 bags an umbrella, ipod and phone in hand. My fiance has this brush thingy that he uses on his suede runner that make them look braaaan new. Even I was amazed! I don't know what it's called so maybe look for a suede brush fixer upper shoe thingy =)

I love the pop of color from your shoes.. It sucks they got dirty but they sell suede cleaner or if that doesnt work you can take them to the dry cleaner, if they have a suede and leather specialist they should be able to clean them for you.

Hi! I use a suede cleaner from Target that has a scrub brush on the end. It works, but I'm not sure it could do really heavy duty cleaning. Your post brings back memories! I'm a 3L, and my 1L year, I dropped probably half of my books in puddles at some point in the year, so they were pretty gross looking... Fortunately, as law school goes on, you have less books, and they're somewhat smaller.

My sister-in-law taught me an easy trick to perk up my suede shoes (wearing suede heels in Minnesota winter causes inevitable salt stains). Just use a mixture of vinegar diluted to half strength with water to rub stains away and brush to make them look new :) You can use a pencil eraser on dry stains...haven't tried that though. Good luck - those are great shoes!
