These pictures look funky again.  I can't seem to get it together for Blogger.  I swear somewhere down in there I am a professional.  Speaking of professional, these photos were taken pre-hair and makeup.  It was either this or nothing at all, and, well, I had new shoes on, so the choice was kind of obvious.
On to the point behind that title.  In case you haven't guessed it yet.  I am a "yes" sayer.  Yes, I can take six law classes this semester.  Yes, I can run my own business while I'm in school.  Yes, I can shoot two to three sessions every weekend and then have them edited and delivered the following week.  Yes, I can take home extra research from my internship to do in my "spare time."  Yes, I can take on a kitchen re-do project with my mom in the evenings.  I'm sure the point has been made.  And despite the fact that I would consider my "yesness" to be somewhat of a negative overall, it also pushes me to the outer limits of my personal boundaries and lets me see exactly what I can do.  I certainly don't think I could carry a load like this forever.  I'll have to cut back to something more reasonable eventually.  But I also didn't know I was capable of carrying a load like this at all.  And while I may not be excelling at everything all at once, I still squeeze in class reading and research in between classes and my clients are still getting their pictures on time.  I'm still booking sessions and accomplishing goals on my to-do list.  I'm still staying afloat.  And I'm pretty proud of that.  So, while I'm not Superwoman, I'm proving myself to myself.  You can't overcome your fear of heights while standing on the ground.

iPhone pictures are just going to have to do for now.  Unfortunately, my iPhone has decided to go on strike and won't let me use Instagram or my Blogger app.  I know you are all wondering how I am surviving right now.  One breath at a time, my friends, one breath at a time.  Adobe Flash is also working against me right now and I cannot upload albums to Facebook from my computer.  If any techies want to come save me before I pull my paint-encrusted hair out, I would be ever thankful.  If you are wondering about the pictures, they are just some random ones from Wednesday, which is when I meant to blog this post.  The first is a to-do list.  I make them weekly and live and breath by their words.  Generally the only way I know what day it is is by my list.  I probably would not function but to eat (because, let's be honest, I would and could never forget that) without my quarter-folded pieces of notebook paper to get me through.  Number two is my outfit the other day, plus my hair, which I neglected to style on Wednesday.  Au natural.  Aaaand number three is a picture of the shoes I was supposed to wear (and would have matched the dress perfectly) but were like five million inches high.  And the shoes I babied out and did wear.  Maybe I'll update you on Thursday sometime before next week.  Unlikely, but I like to leave my doors open.  I don't think that is a real expression actually.
Love,
Ramsey
P.S. Funny, random thing.  I was talking on the phone earlier with my texting window open and when I hung up, I realized my cheek had typed I luuuuuvvv. u.  Apparently my subconscious is feeling sappy today.

Cabinets

 photo g9g9.jpg photo g9g7.jpg
Words to the wise.  Use a primer.  Get a scrub brush for your nails.  Don't wear your favorite pajama bottoms.  Prepare to get paint everywhere and have to clean it with a microfiber cloth for the next 232329484908540985 years of your life.  Choose a cabinet color that you are going to love forever and ever and ever, so you never have to paint again.  In other news, I feel like such a DIY diva, I think I need a TV show now. Give a girl some cabinets to paint and she turns into a weekend warrior.  What da ya know.  Anyway, we still aren't done yet.  Check back with me in like three weeks on that project.  In other news, I picked up the first pumpkin spice creamer of the season at the store yesterday and my heart is singing a little bit this morning.  As much as it is ever going to sing before 11AM anyway. Probably more like a hum.  But we are going to count that because it is happy that fall has officially arrived in the form of seasonal coffee creamer.  It's the small things.  Also, here is a gratuitous "outfit picture" for you.  It was the best I could do solo.  No, that is not my mirror.  I know, it is so dirty you can't even really see my outfit.  I don't own a full length mirror.  So if you've ever questioned my shoe choices, well there you go.  I typically only get an eagle eye view of those.

If you were ever wondering what happens on the days that I don't check in here, rest assured, I don't go naked.  Sometimes (usually) I actually wear outfits.  Unfortunately, I have these nasty little boogers called late classes this semester and I usually get home too late (read: it's dark and I look terrible with flash photography) to take pictures of myself.  Not to mention my dark circles come out at night when I'm tired, and those are not for the weak of heart to view.  So we are left with a total of four days to take pictures and at least two of those do not require me to get dressed.  My yoga pants have their work cut out for them.  And I don't do yoga.
In other news, I am still buried beneath a pile of editing among other things I'm supposed to be working on "cough" class reading "cough."  I also got these shoes on a 65% off sale.  I was on a shoe ban, but then I saw these darlings glowing at me from their box.  And even on a ban, I make an exception for need.  65% off neon yellow heels certainly falls within that category.  On the downside, I got a mega blister wearing these and I have had to wait like a week to wear them again.  Like literally, I was limping by the end of the day.  All in the name of cute shoes.
I threw a wreath-making party this past weekend for some friends and I highly recommend letting grown women go to town with some craft supplies, wreath forms, and a few bottles of wine.  Although, I caution you to decrease your usage of the hot glue gun as you increase your consumage of the wine.  Word to the wise.  I'm thinking we may do another one around Christmas...brunch style.
And that's about all I have for ya folks!  I need to get off my rear and go work out before I have to leave for a torture session class.
See ya soon!

Ramsey

Can anyone else believe we are already half way through September?  I mean, when did that happen?  And who wants to help me catch up with that first half in the next half?
On a more positive note, only two more months 'till fall!  Because here fall is only a state of mind until November.  A state of mind that includes eating lots of candy pumpkins.  And trips to Wal-Mart.  Because it is most definitely October in there.  They got the pumpkins and mums in last week.  Be still my heart!  I go in at least once a week, just to keep convincing myself that somewhere in the northern parts of this here country there are people experiencing sweaters, falling leaves, and boots that don't elicit stares from their sandal-clad counterparts.  You can bet your bottom the hot weather isn't going to stop me from enjoying some apple cider real soon.  Or my boots.  Obviously.  Even if I am sweating in them.  The lengths I go.
I hope fall has hit wear you are!  If not, light a cinnamon apple candle and raise your glass of cider with me and we will pretend.  My specialty.
Love,
Ramsey

I wore this outfit two days in a row  But only for half a day each, so it really only counts as one as far as I'm concerned.  Not that that has stopped me before.  Sometimes if I like an outfit enough, I'll just wear that sucker right to sleep and straight through the next day.  That's only a mild exaggeration.  I've been known to wear one outfit all. weekend. long.  It's not that I don't have cleanliness standards on weekends, they just tend to be low ones.  Also, I make it a point to be generally lazy on weekends and not get dirty.  I also have a strong affinity for dresses that feel like pajamas.  While I'm spilling personal details, I also ate a sinful cupcake today and I am writing this post from a pedicure chair.  A pedicure that I desperately needed, given the disgraceful condition of the worn-off polish job I had before.  So now that all of my secrets have been spilled out here on the internets, please continue to enjoy your Sunday.  Also please note that I knew what day it was.

What Day is it?

I am honestly not sure what day I wore this outfit.  This week has be craazay!  I have literally had to sit for a minimum of 30 seconds each day trying to figure out what day it is.  Also, I don't remember where Tuesday went.  Did we have one of those this week?  This is what happens to my brain when I have deadlines, deadlines, deadlines.  Confusion and short term memory loss.  Which doesn't say much (positive) about my future.  Thank goodness gracious for lists.  I don't know what I would do without a notebook full of them.  Probably not be able to get dressed in the morning.  Would you believe I actually have a list of outfit ideas I want to try?  I made it on one of those days that my closet and I were totally understanding each other and best buddies.  Which never happens, by the way.  Also, this outfit wasn't on the list.  It was just an obvious choice.  The top is new and I wanted to ease it into my wardrobe before really getting into the depths of remixing with it.  Wouldn't want to scare it away on the first wear.
I've said all this to say, I'm sorry for not remembering when I posted last, but have an awesome Thursday (if it is, in fact, Thursday).
Love,
Ramsey
P.S. Sorry if you were unable to view my blog for the past few days because I exceeded my bandwidth (apparently).  Also, I have no idea what bandwidth is really.  But apparently that was my problem.  So, problem fixed.  Carry on.

Actually, that would be misleading as I am not, at all, outdoorsy.  But I did go to the new Bass Pro last week.  We are feeling mighty uptown here in Tallahassee with the addition of a Dicks Sporting goods and a Bass Pro shop opening within a few weeks of each other.  It's a man's world.  And it clearly doesn't take much.  Anyway, I ventured in the other day to pick out a few things for Dusty boy and let me tell you.  It was like a combination between a Duck Dynasty family reunion and an amusement park.  There were children and beards everywhere.  They had free cake and donuts to offer to everyone who walked in.  Aaand there were race cars and concession stands outside.  Concession stands.  Who needs Disney world when you have a sporting goods store opening like this!?  And all this jazz was at 10:00 am.  On a Thursday.  Which means we probably should have joined in on the grand opening the night before.   I bet they even had blow up slides!  I am not above losing my adult integrity for a blow up slide and cotton candy.  Never.  While I didn't find anything to suit my fancy inside, I managed to grab some goodies for Dusty and gawk in amazement at our fancy, new shop.  Conveniently located between Costco and Wal-Mart.  I think Dusty will be going grocery shopping with me a lot more often now.
I hope your Monday was joyous.  Sorry about the utter lack of posting last week.  I fell off the face of the blogosphere.  My apologies.

Fail

I didn't take outfit pictures today. I'm sure whoever is reading this won't sleep tonight because of the suspense. I had a super busy day and accomplished enough to justify my utter laziness tonight. In my mind. I also ate an entirely unjustified Klondike bar (chocolate on chocolate). Jillian would not be pleased. But Dusty said if there are Klondikes in the house, you must eat at least one. Man law. I'm going to defer to him on that. Ok. Nighty night. It is 10:22 and you can bet I'm going to be lights out by 10:30.

Sorry for what didn't happen with my brain yesterday.  I have no idea what got into me last night, but I was poooooped.  We shall see if I manage to stick with this whole ripped in 30 days ordeal.  I've probably only made it through about a week in the past, so I'm not putting a whole lot of stake in my motivational abilities.  I have been waddling like a duck all day and you should see me try to sit on the toilet. Actually you probably shouldn't because that would be both awkward and inappropriate.  But I will tell you it takes around 30 seconds and the use of both arms and there are a few seconds of free fall that are altogether frightening.  Here's hoping my muscles go ahead and wake their little selves up before I break a bone.  Or a toilet seat.  Nothing puts you in your place like getting your booty kicked by a 30 minute workout video.  Between that and law school, humble should be my middle name very soon.
Ok, now I need to go write a memo on a legal motion that I am oh so very interested in.  Which is why I first procrastinated with this post.  And if I had any more remotely interesting tidbits from my day, I would absolutely share them with you, just to delay the "fun" a little longer, but judging by that last paragraph, I highly doubt you are on the edge of your seats right now.  So I'm just going to say so long, happy Wednesday night, and I hope to see you tomorrow.  Perhaps with a little less TMI.

Ok, who am I kidding, what would I blog about if not for TMI.
Love,
Ramsey

P.S.: If you are wondering about Sparkle (where I have been getting all of the adorable and unique clothes) and live in or near Tallahassee, you should absolutely check out the store in Midtown.  And you can always visit the Facebook page for a taste of what will be there!

It's almost ten.  I started Jillian Michael's Ripped in 30 this morning and I don't know if I'll move tomorrow.  I seriously did not realize how out of shape I  was until I was huffing and puffing to lift myself off the floor with Jillian yelling at me from the TV and my red face streaming with sweat.  I have a headache.  I still have reading to do and am definitely contemplating leaving that until tomorrow.  Procrastinator.  Dirty rotten procrastinator.  My brain is only working in chopped-off complaints right now.  When did I get so old that ten became late for bedtime?  I think Labor Day weekend spoiled me with it's late mornings.  I really didn't do anything productive before 11 am for three days straight.  Amazing.  Now my body (and brain) are rebelling the sudden transition from sleeping in late and living on carbs to healthy food and activity.  I am a very good couch potato.  First class.
And there you have a brain dump from a Tuesday (Monday in my mind) night.  Scary, isn't it?
Here's to hump day tomorrow, aye?!

Ramsey

I know you guys are tired of me rubbing stuff in, but because I'm not altogether sure of whether people read this or just come for the pictures of me posing awkwardly by myself and I am writing into the abyss, I am going to post it anyway.  Mostly because the only other people I have to brag to are my mom (who is tired of me talking about these shoes), Dusty (who could care less about my shoes), and the dogs (who would like to eat my shoes).  So anyway, they were originally from Target for like $29.  And that was just too much to spend on a pair of too-high, uncomfortable heels in a risky color. <=====The person who typed that last line is cheap.  But you know what they say, cheap shoes come to those who wait.  Or something like that.  And I found them, brand new, at Plato's Closet (It's a thrift store for designerish clothes, if you are wondering.) for $8.  And whatdoyaknow?  Turns out tomato isn't that hard to match after all.  Plus my adorable friend, who owns my favorite little boutique eva (Sparkle) sent me this dress the other day.  It is probably my new fave.  And it totally matches the shoes.
Now that I have typed an entire paragraph about my shoes (How many times can I say that word in one post?  Shoes, shoes, shoes.), I should probably tell you that I have taken Benadryl and should not be held accountable for anything that comes out of my mouth.  My fingers.  Whatever.  I am no good when drowsy.

Happy weekend to you!

Ramsey

Let it be known, I am a Seminole.  I know these colors could be misleading.  For some reason, when I picked up these two pieces together, I just had this outfit in mind.  And when the clothing fairies sprinkle you with outfit dust, well, who am I to say no?  I'll admit, I may have spent part of the day moving my arms around in less-than-natural fashion so I could flash the neon orange lining of my jacket to people.   I am nothing if not discreet.
Since I brought up the Nole/Gator dichotomy, football season starts this weekend.  Smooth transition.  Not that any of you (including me) particularly care about the arrival of the next sporting season, but this means I have every excuse to spend my Saturdays taking 3-4 hour naps and eating food laden with cheese and calories.  That's what football season means to me.  And right now, my head is clogged with coldish stuff and my throat is scratchy.  So I fully intend to kick it off this weekend and spend my time curled up in a big, cozy sweater and yoga pants and waking up only to accept food which is brought to me.  I do understand that warm sweaters may be a bit excessive for August in Florida, where we are still making it into the 90s everyday, but if I stay inside with the AC, I am pretty sure I can convince myself that fall is almost here.  And if that fails, there is always Pinterest.  And fall arrives in August on Pinterest without fail.
So cheers to football kickoff weekend!  May your team prevail and if not, may you eat enough not to care.
Love,
Ramsey

I absolutely meant to blog yesterday.  Monday I gave myself a break, what with it being the first day of school and all, but yesterday, I was at it.  But I forgot.  I told Dusty I was going to and he never reminded me, so we'll just say it was his fault, no?  Although that would be mean seeing as he watched a movie and passed out right after dinner.

In all honesty, this is what I wore for the first day of school, but these pictures were taken last week.  It was a re-wear.  Usually I don't do these so close to each other, but it was the first day, I had some serious business to tend to and I needed to look like a serious law student.  If this doesn't scream serious law student, I don't know what does.  Also, I am in love with this dress.  I'm not sure if it is the gold snazzy print or the fact that I got it for $11 (that's eleven dollars) at Forever 21 on sale the other day.  Just one, hanging on the end of the rack, in my size.  I think I even heard angel harps over the semi-stale Rihanna music playing in the background.  Even the sales lady was impressed.  And you know when you've impressed the sales lady, you have really got yourself a steal.

So anywho, wish me luck with this back to school thing.  My throat is feeling a little sore.  I don't know if I'm getting sick or if my body is just repulsed by the idea of hanging out in classrooms and focusing on professors and reading books not for pleasure (which let's be honest, I don't even read them for pleasure anymore).  Whatever it is, I'm just hoping my immune system can kick it in the booty before it turns me into even more of a grumpy bear.

Aaannd, that's all for now.  See you tomorrow.  If I don't forget.  Which I won't.  Hopefully.
Love,
Ramsey
