So I wrote this whole post out earlier and it turns out Blogger just sucked it right down the black hole of blogging abyss. Joy. Take 2:

Thank y'all sooo much for the sweetest birthday wishes a girl could ever get! You just melted my heart right to the floor with all of your sugary goodness and I want to thank you for being such an awesome group of blog buddies! You stinkin' rock!

So I have been yearning for a pair of bright color-popping shoes for forever. I suppose it has been ever since I outgrew my ruby red slippers at the age of 5. A sad day indeed. Well, I visited Urban Outfitters for the very first time on Monday and magic was waiting just beyond those big, blue, oversized doors. The buzzer even went off as I walked in. It was a. Sign. Downright serendipitous. I found these seventies-shag-carpet-orange beauties nestled on a shelf among a pile of their average Joe, camel brown counterparts. They were the last pair. A size six. And only 19.99. And let.me.tell.you, shag carpet orange has never looked better on a floor. I think I heard angels singing as I walked out with the sweethearts. But maybe that was just the buzzer going off again because I have a problem cutting buzzer tags out of my clothes sometimes. I'm convinced it was definitely angels. Of course I wore them out, because that is a legit thing to do. Even if you are above the age of 5. Retro orange heels are the new ruby red slippers. Plus: Dusty approves. Mostly just because they are orange and I wore them with an all-blue outfit. It was unintentional, I just couldn't wait to slip them on. Silly Gator-boy. Still, I think I did him proud.

Love,

Ramsey

P.S. Do you like my earrings and necklace? Of course you do. Because they are mega sparkly and I mega love them too! {Especially because right behind the beautiful crystals is a guardian angel. On the back of the necklace. Next to my heart. These are quite the sweetest things I have ever seen!} Our darling friend {who just happens to be the most creative person in the history of ever} runs the Tallahassee Memorial Gift Shop where she sells these happies and lots more. If you are too far away to stop on by, let me know and I will so hook you up. Because I'm cool like that.

P.P.S. I rounded up a couple of Florida girlies it sounds like! I am psyched. I am sure Dusty is more psyched. Not that he wouldn't looove to spend a day carrying my bags around a massive mall or anything. I will run off and see what I can cook up. I'll keep ya updated. Until then, y'all spread the word, ya hear! See if you can drum up a right Florida crowd for me!

Dear Ramsey,

Is that an engagement ring?

Cute! I've had those orange UO pumps for over a month and wasn't sure if I was gonna keep them. I have both yellow and red shoes, but orange was too intimidating to me. Seeing your post gave me confidence to keep 'em, and I wore them for the first time today!
