Skirt worn as a dress: Belk, Vest and belt: Swapped with Abby of The Closet Files, Shoes and shades: Target, Clutch: Kate Spade

So guess what. I'm headed off to Puerto Rico as of the end of this month and I. Need. Pointers. Do any of you peeps have experience with this matter? Any San Juanians out there? I will share my packing tips with you if you will share your sight-seeing, shopping spots, and foodie joints with me. Personally, I am looking forward to some local coffee dives with pastries galore. Give this girl a pastry and she {will want a glass of milk...and then she will need a napkin...and then...where have I heard this before?} will be your best friend. All this conditional stuff sounds like a good idea to me. K? Go. No really, you got it? I want to hear it. Plus I want to warn you that I will not be able to post while away...oh my! So I'll need you guys to take good care of Dusty while I'm away and make sure he doesn't get lonely or go hungry.

I also have to mention this skirt which I bought for next to nothing at Belk yesterday with a crusty old gift card that I had forgotten about and found in my wallet. Don't you love finding free monies like that!?! Plus I can wear it as a dress when I want. Which is like double free monies!

Okie...thanks in advance for your lovlies!

Love,

Ramsey

Oh, and don't forget to check out the $200 Karen Kane giveaway on the sidebar if you haven't already!

I've never been but if its humid take some special shampoo... and lots of hair ties.

Also how do you look so good in all your pics? I'm trying to do this 30 for 30 thing and I look like and feel like a fool prancing around in front of a camera.

I have a longish wrap like that and can never seem to make it look right. I love the idea of belting it! thanks for the inspirations.

Ooh.. so jealous for two reasons... first of all Puerto Rico would be ah-maze-ing.
Secondly... that skirt/dress is adorable! Crusty old gift cards are the best :)

I totally wish I had Puerto Rico pointers, but all i can offer is jealously.

But bring those sunnies and those wedges for sure.

Hiya rams,

I was in PR in April, and you can read about it in my archives. The island is amazing and the shopping in San Juan is glorious. Try the plantain cups and the mofungo... (I'm too lazy to google that to make sure I'm spelling that right) you MUST take a trip to the bio-bay near the lighthouse. happy travels!

I actually live in San Juan! I'll just warn you...it's gonna be really hot there. It's about 100 degrees with 95% humidity. So pack a lot of tank tops, flip flops and shorts. As for sightseeing, you HAVE to go into Old San Juan for shopping and sightseeing. Also, go to the beach in San Juan. There's tons of them. My favorite place on the island is Luquillo Beach. It's a drive from San Juan, but TOTALLY WORTH IT. The beach is A-MAZ-ING. If you want to know anything else, just ask! My email is lauren.endicott92@gmail.com or you can just check out my blog posts from the wintertime!

I love the mixed neutrals in this outfit. SO simple but so very chic. You look beautiful!

I have a dress that I wore as a skirt yesterday. I've also worn skirts as shirts. Actually I think I wore it as a dress one time too because it's pretty long.

I'm done rambling now. I haven't been to PR so I don't have any tips - but I do want to see tons of pictures when you get back! I hope you have a blast!

Come take a look inside A Working Mom's Closet

I went to San Juan in January and it was hot then! I can only imagine what it's like in June. Take lots of summer clothes. Nothing heavy. It's a beautiful place. The actual city of San Juan is so neat! I know you'll have fun!

That outfit would be perfect for Puerto Rico! I have many of those skirt/dresses they are the best, so versatile and you can accessorize them in so many ways, loved the back of your vest! Let's hope Dusty does fine in your absence!

Old San Juan has no bad restaurants. I believe the place my family usually eats when we go is called La Familia. Depending on how far you go, the rainforest is AH-MAZING and totally worth seeing for a day trip. Also, must try passoa if they have it at any bars. It's passion fruit liquer and its magical!
