Button-Up: Belk, Crop pants: Ann Taylor, Belt: thrifted, Necklaces: Borrowed/Thrifted, Bracelets: F21, Premier, Watch: Movado, Shoes: Nine West, Bag: c/o Shop Kempt
Today was the first day. I guess the cat is out of the bag. The proverbial cat. Because it would be cruel to place a real cat in a bag. In fact, I wouldn't even have a cat to start with because I'm allergic to cats. Besides that, today was the first day. And of course we know {the mouse in my pocket and I} that there is no better way to prepare for your first day of anything than your old faithful, favorite, gets better with every wash denim shirt and a pair of Ann Taylor pants. Because what doesn't go down smoother with Ann Taylor pants? I'm still alive on the flip side. Just came up from briefing cases for a little air. Actually, I'm taking notes on the pages of the book that were photographed with a camera phone and sent to my email. Sad, but I'd rather be prepared than face another wet my pants {pardon the expression} experience like today. I got called on in the one class that I cannot seem to obtain the book for, despite my continuing efforts {continuing=daily trips to the bookstore to beg for them to get it in soon with pathetic puppy eyes and sob stories}. You know that scene from Legally Blonde where she's completely unprepared? Yeah, I felt like that. I winged an answer with the help of an iPad and a 15-minute in-class brief of the case during the syllabus-explaining session. Whew. First one called on. First day of class. At least I left the room with my dignity intact. And dry pants.

Love,

Ramsey

Good Luck in law school, Ramsey!! I'm just finishing up my third year. It gets better, I swear. Also, check your law library for the book you need. They usually keep a copy on file of all the book professors order. That might help you until you get your book. I hope you have time to keep blogging -- I would sure miss your blog if not :)

Congrats on your first day. I am happy you didn't pee your pants, they're too nice to be peed on and so is your entire outfit. You look fabulous, your professors should give your extra points for that!

Dry pants are always, always a plus.

Maybe since you were the first one called on and on the first day, that means you won't be called on as much the rest of the year? You could hope. :)

I love the chambray with those pants and the heels! You look incredible.

Good luck in school! I give you major props for going to law school. I'm headed to grad school in the spring and I'm terrified. And I'm not even going for law school. I'm going for literacy.

Great first day outfit! I love first day outfits.

wow! law school! it sounds so grown up. I'm betting its one of those experiences that is a lot less glamorous, and a lot more work than it sounds. I'm sure you'll do amazing though!

I imagine law school to be just as it is portrayed in Legally Blonde. Do you have a little chihuahua to bring with you every where as well?
