So, Friday night, mom and I met D-boy after his graduation practice at Target {and timing was completely perfecto} and went in to get a Starbucks blended thingymajig and the whole entire place was dripping with the scent of popcorn. Which we didn't get because we were in a hurry. And guess who pulled around as we walked out of the door. And guess what he was munchin' on. Dude. So then, we went to cheer on Dusty's cousin {and our alma mater} as they played in the baseball regional championship and won. Which was super exciting. Well mostly on Dusty's end because I have never claimed "baseball fanning" as one one of my talents. I did, however catch up on some business stuff on my telephono while by butt bones got bruised by the bleachers. I am a wimp. I need cushiness. But we had fun. Until we went to get Five Guys Burgers and Fries starving {starving} at 10:05 and realized it closed at 10. Fun Ramsey over. Enter sad, crying Ramsey. Second choice: Steak and Shake. Where everyone else in the world decided to go too. But mom and I split the guac burger and it was delicious.
Saturday, we watched this cutie graduate bright and early. Doesn't he look handsome in his graduating garb? Proud girlfriend.
And then we went out for the most spectacular lunching eva at Food Glorious food. Seriously, if you are near Tallahassee, go. And if not you should fly here and bunk at my place and we will go together. Baklava Cheesecake for dessert. Five pounds of pure sugar cream cheese joy.
And we kept the celebration going with Brad and Erin for a graduation cookout. Which means "boy time" for Dust and "cooking, crafting, and decorating" talk for Rams. I tell you that stuff is super refreshing sometimes. And then I was a toot butt and stayed up until after midnight last night getting ready for Mother's Day brunch today. And there are birds outside my window who apparently like to chirp their little noggins of from 12:00 to 1:00. Thank you birds.
I woke up to this this morning. We just can't seem to break it to the booger that he is, in fact, a dog.
And here are our Mother's Day pictures.
We had Turkey and veggie casserole, cornbread and cheese grits casserole, garlic cheddar biscuits, fruit, garlic oven potatoes, maple banana nut muffins, and breakfast punch. Whew. I could have used another four sets of hands. But that would look strange. And the number of burnt fingers would undoubtedly multiply.
And here is the link to the muffin recipe. Which you would be a fruit not to try because they are litterally the best banana muffins ever in the history of the whole world and I said so. So there.
Lastly, happy Mother's Day to all of you lovely mother's out there who bless our lives in so many ways. To mom: I love you so much and thank you for being such a wonderful, special mother.
Happy week to ya!
Love,
Ramsey
