Glasses

IMG_1634IMG_1635

Skirt and belt: F21, Blouse: NY and Co., Shoes: Steve Madden, Blazer: Steinmart {like forever ago}

Business stuff: this outfit is soooo not worthy of posting, but I thought that you guys should know that I have to dress in boring businesswear too. There's only so much you can do to that stuff. K, thanks.

Right, so I'm sitting at my computer typing this and I seriously can't see diddly because my glasses are super smudged. Gross, I know. So I take them off to wipe down and the smudge remains. Once glasses reach the point of permanent smudge, Ramsey says, "time for replacement." I've been telling Dusty we should take ourselves glasses shopping for weeks but now I'm pretty sure it has reached the point of official need. {By the way, he sat on his and they are no longer operational.} We are not exactly the gentle type in this arena. Poor glasses.

So, 'pinions, 'pinions guys. I'm thinking something along the lines of these for me:

untitled

And I think Dusty should go with some black or brown plastic rims to go for that businessy smarty pants look. Whatcha thinkin'???

Peace out darlings!

Love,

Ramsey

OOooo new glasses! Those Jcrew ones are cute - but you know what would look fabulous on you?! RED FRAMES! Seriously. I have same hair color and eyes and skin tone as you and I'm on the hunt for a perfect pair of red frame glasses (like darker red). Red sounds random, but it goes fabulous with brunettes....basically cause we're awesome. Look into it if you can find some :) Good luck on your eyewear mission!

Tell me you're kidding. Please, please tell me you're kidding when you say you don't think that outfit is blogworthy. Because it's FABULOUS. The belted jacket, the mixed neutrals, everything about it is FABULOUS!!!

I adore your style and would love to see more of your business outfits! Since, you know, that's really all I have to post on my own... :)

Greg dropped his glasses on a construction site once and... i kid you not, they fell into a chop saw. He still didn't want to get new ones.

Love the outfit, and frankly every outfit you post on here. You're one of my favorites, and seeing as how you're relatively new to the blogging scene that's awesome! You're not afraid to be YOU! For frames, if you are indeed looking for real glasses, I think a more rectangular shape would look great on you. You do have an oval face which can wear anything, but would you rather have frames that are timeless or ones that are trendy and you might hate after just one year? If you're curious about different shapes, you should check out Warbyparker.com.... I just got my new frames there, and I love them!! Check it out, you won't be disappointed. : )

Quite the contrary...I think your business outfit looks great! :)

I adore glasses shopping...how could you be holding out this long. Have you tried any of those cool online eyeglass sites (where you can upload a photo of yourself and try on a million pairs virtually?!?!?). If not, you should try it...it is fun and the frames are really quite affordable!

Those are not my first choice (but then, we have very different face shapes, so that's definitely a good sign) but you seem to have found a pair that look really nice on that model, and honestly, she's like a creepy-close look-alike for you!

Also, I think that outfit is toootally worthy of posting. A very beautiful and intriguing pencil-and-blazer combo (burnt orange, it looks like? NICE.) that I am glad to have seen.

i love big round glasses, you can always wear eye shadow and people will easily notice it

Loni said...

I love the glasses! I would probs go for something just a tad rounder (not quite reaching so far down on the cheeks) especially since you have gorgeous cheek bones and you don't want to obscure them with your frames.. ya know? I love the shape and size, though... it's a toughy. Just make sure you try on a lot of different pairs and get the ones you absolutely love (with your hair up AND down!) :)

Ok first of all, your business attire is adorable, sorry to break it to you. The caramely browns and black is super chic, deal with it. Secondly, heck yes, I love those frames! Do it!

Hello, I am new here and I came over from A Working Mom's Closet. I have to say that I LOVE this business look. You are wrong - it is SO blogworthy. We have to try and be fashionable at work, too. Not just outside of work. :)

As for the glasses - those are cute. I am in BAD need of new glasses and I am thinking of going vintage on my next pair. I just haven't gotten around to making an eye appt. Too many other things I enjoy spending money on, you know. :) But, like you, it's beginning to get to that crucial point.

I am new to the style blogs and just recently started my own. Would love it if you stopped by sometime.

This is so related to glasses, but those pine needles on the ground just made me smile. I've just stumbled on your blog, and didn't realize you were from Florida until I saw those pine needles. They remind me of home! I loved growing up in Florida, and I'm so happy you're living the Florida life!
