Shirt: Old Navy, Pants: c/o Karen Kane, Belt: Thrifted, Purse: LV, Shoes: Target, Watch: Vintage Gucci, Necklace: F21

So, as promised, I am compelled to deliver my juicy little summer wardrobe challenge. Honestly guys, I'm not a big spender in the clothes department. The other night Dusty and I were having a conversation about how scared I would be if he decided to become an alligator hunter. Because this is a conversation every couple should have. Or perhaps it has something to do with our recent addiction to Swamp People. Who knows. Anyway, I asked him how he would feel if he sent me into the world's finest mall with his credit card and said, "have at it." And he responded with the fact that he would feel perfectly safe sending me right off with his plastic. This may speak to the fact that I am a terrible analogy-maker. But that is not the point. The point is that I am not a spender.

BUT, when the glorious days of summer roll around, I tend to get the itch. The itch to spice up my closet with new things. And then, I binge shop. It usually happens right before a vacation or special occasion. I have to have that something new and boy do I deserve it. And then once I dip my toe in, I go on a spending spree and then I feel guilty. And that is why I am placing a $100 limit on myself for reworking my wardrobe with some new pieces and making it feel a bit more sparkly for the summer months. Dare I say this shall be quite fun. That or I will hate this idea one month in. But I'm sticking to it for at least three monts. Ninety days. Maybe more if I can hold out.

By the way, we hope your Memorial Day weekend was Staching. Ours sure was. Pictures to come!

LOL fab post! Totally hilarious. I make those "hair" mustaches with my friends waaaay too much to be normal. Mostly seems to happen during a serious lecture in class :) LOVE your 100$ wardrobe...that old navy shirt is adorable!

So excited to see what you come up with!

I'm exactly the same as you when it comes to buying! I'm pretty stingy and not good at making purchases 95% of the time.. but occasionally I get that itch and go crazy. I love your idea!

Love the whole outfit! That shirt is amazing, I was just at Old Navy yesterday and I don't remember seeing it. I love your wardrobe challenge. I am super careful with money (the hubs is in school, so were pretty much broke lol) but I have $100 from a birthday present and I have been using it all for clothes =)

I think I would fail at this...you're totally right something about the summer months makes it so hard not to just buy fun bright colors and sparkly things! Good luck, I can't wait to see how creative you get with that $100!!

Such a cute pic at the end! You actually look afraid to spend your Benjamin! Well, I for one can't wait to see what you purchase! I admire your frivolity, but we all need to indulge a little--it's good for the soul :)

HAHA Me and my boyfriend have the SAME conversation, except he wouldn't even let me look at his credit cards LOL. Good luck with the $100. I couldn't do it!

Challenge sounds good, though I don't think that I have the guts to stick to a budget! It's going to be fun to see what you do with your 100 bucks! ps. cute mustache!

fun challenge. my closet needs an intervention but I am on a budget. well, I haven't set a budget but my imaginary budget involves minimal spending, so this is something i have to debate with my pocket

Love it!!! :D that is a great idea. I do the same thing. Beginning of every season I feel the need to splurge. And that moustach picture of you is fantastic! Haha!

Thats a good challenge, I've been broke as a joke the last 9 months so I hardly spend anything on clothes. I always think I can get something for under $5 at the goodwill so I usually just window shop :) ohhh how I miss a good shopping spree though!

Great challenge! It sucks nowadays that doesn't get you very far :( Well unless you find amazing deals which I'm sure you will do! I put a limit to myself and didn't shop for any clothes or shoes for 4 months, it was soo difficult but I did it :) and I definitely saw the benefits in my savings account. I have recently been spending ALOT and i get buyers remorse and return things haha because money just flies outta my hands sooo fast.

I have full faith in your ability to pull that off! I think you'll be just fine. :) And as always, you look adorable!

Everyone needs a good moustache. At least thats what my daughter thinks. HAHAH!! I daresay she will change her mind in the next 10 years or so.

Your challenge sounds great. I am kind of doing the same thing but for a different reason. I have a TON of hand me downs from my MIL that are in AMAZING condition. She got too big for them and I am losing weight and can fit into them. And she only buys really nice and expensive name brand clothing. Also...we are saving for our vacation and a motorcycle all at once. So...there is little money left for shopping UNTIL vacation time.

I have far too much of a guilty conscience to be able to spend loads of money on clothes. Its actually really annoying sometimes! I loove love your bag by the way :)

I love this budget idea, I am trying to budget better currently.

I dont know what I should do - probably not spend at all since I just bought so much stuff at Goodwill... I wonder if I can go all summer with out spending a penny on new clothing :)

Hmmmmm.... now you have my gears turning :)

First of all your outfit and you look great! I like how you wear brown/black...I love it although my husband doesn't think it matches haha. And I always have that itch to go shopping unfortunately but I never buy anything and feel guilty too! I didn't use to be like that...only when I got married and it was OUR money not just mine hehe.
