Earwax and other nice things you should know about

Dress: c/o Karen Kane, Boots: vintage, Belt: Thrifted, Vest and earrings: F21, Watch: vintage Gucci

So, my computer and Blogger currently have a vendetta against me. Apparently. Because I have encountered a world of trouble logging on recently.

Secondly, I got a package of clothes in the mail on Friday from Karen Kane. Which was kinda like Christmas.

Thirdly, I co-shot a wedding yesterday. WHOO HOO! Let me tell ya, it was the most amazing, creative wedding eva and I was beyond psyched to work behind-the-scenes capturing it. Love.

Fourthly, Dusty and I had the most romantic date of our lives on Saturday fo sho. We had a delicious dinner at Macaroni Grill {I mega recommend the rosemary-lemon chicken kabobs with roasted veggies...best thing I've ever gotten there}. And we got a coconut, white chocolate drink at Starbucks. Also delish. And best of all, the visit to the natural food store for earwax candles. If you haven't heard of these {I hadn't until Dusty informed me of them on Saturday}, they are long candle-shaped thingies that you stick in your ear and then light the other end on fire and they suck the earwax right out of your ear. Because doesn't it sound dandy to have a burning stick jutting out of your head? It took 30 minutes of convincing and Dusty going first for me to try this. I had more earwax that him. Oh yeah, we put the romance in date night. Sorry if this is just too hottttt for you guys to handle...sizzle.

I was going to say congrats on the wedding and how much I like the dress with cowboy boots, but those candles stole the show!

I take it they did in fact work? That looks like a job for two people though...

Hahahaha. One of these days, someone's going to see your blog and pay you to be in a country music video. Sometimes you look like you stepped out of one, you know? As the girl that the guy is crazy in love with and living happily ever after with. Not the girl who's pissed at cheater or the girl who cheated on the guy who's now drinking his sorrows away.

ANYWAY. I also agree that you have officially happened upon the BEST thing on the macaroni grill menu. And that you've been so blessed as to finally experience the wonders of earwax candles.

BTW, can we picket outside of the Google offices? Blogger's making me a grumpy, angry person.

bahahahaha. I totally want to do this now. What is the benefit of getting the earwax out of your head? I mean, blindly I will do this, but that is mainly because I like using those japanese foot pads that suck your toxins out so I can be all "ewwww, look at all the toxins that are in my disgusting body"

xo.

Hahaha! This made me laugh. At least you guys come up with creative, funny things to do that you'll remember way longer than something romantic! That outfit is gorgeous, by the way! Love the cowboy boots with them!

I'm honestly not that impressed that you manned up enough to try it. But that you let yourself be PHOTOGRAPHED?? I defer to you, oh lady of awesome. You be tough.

I have pictures very similar to this of MY first time doing the ear candles. Not even kidding. And it took me much prodding and watching boyfriend and his family use them before I would let them come near me. I will say, I think we do take it a step further in the romance department- we take turns laying our head on a pillow on the kitchen table, ears a-blaze, while the other holds the candle steady and reads whichever book we're currently reading together aloud. Who knew earwax could be so....zen. Yeah. Zen. That'll work. haha!

Pineapple said...

I hope this doesn't sound mean, and if it does, I completely understand if you choose not to post this comment. BUT:

I don't like any of the pieces in this outfit. The belt's okay, and the shoes aren't bad, but I wouldn't have chosen ANY of them if I saw them in a store. But this outfit is AMAzing! How do you make outfit that I am so impressed with, using pieces I don't even like?? You have a some kinda gift, lady.

Didn't Jessica Simpson get a bunch of flak for talking about earwax candles? I think so...so you're in good company. And I don't think anyone has ever looked so cute (nice vest!) while removing was from their ears. Love that dress, too!

Ummmm I have never seen those candle things before! Not gonna lie they are kind of freaky looking! Knowing me I would probably accidentally light my hair on fire if I tried to use one.

I think this is my favorite outfit on you so far! I love everything about it!

I love your boots but am not so convinced about the ear candle thing!?! What if it burnt your ear?
Maybe this is the Australian in me talking but I've never seen these before. I'm weirdly fascinated...

Beautiful dress! Wow!

LOL at the ear candling! I definitely would not be game enough to try that, I'd be too worried about accidentally setting something on fire, like...MY HEAD!!!! :O

Bah-hah-hah! I had heard about earwax candles from my Hubby years ago, and I too refused to stick that fire lit candle in my ear until he did :)

Aside from telling you that I love your outfit and that you look beautiful (which i do, and you do), I have to say, I think you are hilarious!

I love your posts, silliness and all, and feel pretty convinced that if you lived down the street from me we would end up being best friends forever.
