Feeling Equestrian

I felt especially equestrian in this. I think I just like saying that word. It feels...classy. I think if I did ride a horse, this is exactly what I'd wear. I am a practical girl after all. And I like to dress for the occasion. If I wore a safari hat, I'd probably take a picture by a lion, or a flamingo suit, a picture on some faux turf. For now, I think it would be safer just to take pictures beside horse pens. Yes, yes, that would make me look for more sane. And you know what they say. Well, actually, I got nothin'. But I'm sure there is some morsel of wisdom out there made just for a situation like this. Do share.

The Student...circa the 1990s

This outfit felt really 90's grunge to me. Which is totally not the norm around here. But we like to shake things up sometimes and this just felt right. {We being me and the mouse in my pocket. What? You don't keep a mouse in yours? How. do. you. sleep. at. night?}. Speaking of 90s, albeit a different aspect of the 90s, we are going to a country music concert on Thursday night and I am a bubble of excitement over here!! Fo real guys. And I don't even listen to that much country music. Don't those twangy notes just take you back though? Makes me want to linedance just thinking about it. Oh, and our method of travel to said concert will be to pile everyone into a suburban and drive like a can of sardines. And anything involving sardine cans is a winner with me. Best part? No class on Friday. Wha-ching-a!

It's pretty much legit fall now guys

I wore this jacket all day today without getting even the least bit hot. That's not to mention the utter frigidness of my classrooms because apparently the staff has no regard for those of us with -.1 tolerance for coldness. But that's neither here nor there. This weekend was delicious. In both the foodie way because I ate so much that I think I could go sans food for two days based on what I surely have in reserve and the atmosphere way. There was major fallness in the air and it could not have been better. We had a bonfire on Saturday night, watched football, bought a mum, received a pumpkin, and spent Sunday in pajamas under a blanket. I even had a mug of hot cocoa today. If that doesn't make it legit fall, well then, I don't know what does.

Two "whoops" that we made it through Monday, nope?

We shut down Fun Station last night. Oh yeah. I just said that. We can play putt putt golf like there's no tomorrow. And I kinda stink at it. But really, I've been completely MIA for the past two days and it isn't because I've forgotten you lovelies or am trying to neglect you. You see, this whole law school thing turns out to be far more social than I would've imagined. I'm talkin' minimum of 3 parties or socials per week. Like whoa. Plus the fact that, well, I'm in law school. So it's been right busy 'round here. Cookie baking with the girls on Wednesday, acting like a 7-year-old at Fun Station last night, football cookout tomorrow. I think I need a nap. You should take one two. Because those are kind of really nice.

Happy Friday!

On two counts. One: This outfit totally made me want to do some floor sliding. Big button-up+tall socks+sunglasses makes you want to do that too, no? Maybe it's my gut telling me I should have stuck with Tom Cruise for my Halloween costume this year. Two: This shirt was stolen. Or maybe it was borrowed. I'm not sure what qualifies as stealing. I'm not taking Criminal Law yet. All of mine were dirty though, so Dusty's closet was the next logical extension. Plus: it was super comfy and it smelled nice.

By the way, go put some socks on and do a little slide across your floor. Like now. Promise it'll make ya feel better!

Oh, hello Monday...What did you do with my weekend

IMG_3332IMG_3330IMG_3338IMG_3334IMG_3339

Sweater and Shoes: Target, Long-sleeved tee: J. Crew, Jeans: Old Navy, Bow: DIY, Bag: Hand-me-down Chanel, Glasses: c/o Karen Kane, Belt: Gap, Jewelry: F21, Guess, T and Co., Movado, c/o Mimi's

Officially the. Shortest. Weekend. Ever. I think it is the impeding realization that I have my first memo due on Friday. Twelve pages. Right then. I'll just go bang those out. On top of that, my upper lip decided to be just lovely today and swell to twice its size on the left side with a blemish. Awesome. And you can't cover that one up with a hair-in-the-face-do either. I decided glasses and a massive bow on my head might detract the attention a bit. I must take a moment to brag though. I warned Dusty that my horns would be coming out this week with all the work I have to do. {horns=those mean-looking things that pop out of the sides of my head when I stress} He responded by packing me lunch to pick up on the way to class this morning, complete with pumpkin Little Debbie treats and "I love you" on the baggies. Cue the awwwwwwww. And on top of that, he insisted on helping me with my laundry. Really insisted. I know, I know. How could I ever complain about anything after that. Love him!

Alrighty, back to it...let the procrastination begin.

Love,

Ramsey

P.S. (Is the whole white after Labor Day bit blowing anyone's mind? I saw the idea in J.Crew's catalogue and just couldn't sleep well 'till I'd tried it!

I just couldn't help myself on that one. If any of you are experiencing the "real deal" fall right now, would you mind sending some my way? That would be fabulous, thanks. I got asked in class yesterday when fall gets here. Prompt response: the leaves turn for about a day or two in November, but pay attention, else you might miss it. I'll admit, this whole nice in the morning, hot by noon is quite the tease. And every now and then, Tallahassee will throw a cool day in there just to wag a finger at us. Dear October, will you bring in some yellow and orange to us please? If not, well, I'll just pretend. I'm talkin' hot cocoa, apple cider, cinnamon candles, candied apples, pumpkin Little Debbies, turnin' down the AC and wrapping a fuzzy scarf around my neck, and strutin' the boots like nobody's business. Pretend. That'll show fall.

Any signs where you are? Happy {first fall!} weekend!

Ramsey
