Since I'm on a Boot Diet

Blazer: Thrifted, Maxi Dress: Charlotte Russe, Shoes: Rocketdog/Shoe Station, Scarf: Gift/Local Boutique, Ring: F21, Earrings: Charlotte Russe, Bracelet: Premiere

I definitely had to go with a blazer. 'Cuz we all know those are my second obsession. Well that and the fact that I just couldn't wait to tell you guys that I got this baby (size 0...unheard of at my thrift stores) for $1.50. Wowza!

So, I had lots of running around to do yesterday and mom wasn't available for picture taking, so I enlisted the help of Dusty. Applause for the first timer...I think he did a stellar job. Well, except for the three with my head cut off, but other than that, great job! And he risked getting in trouble at work to run across the street and take these. His boss apparently doesn't abide by fair labor laws (15 minute morning and afternoon breaks and a lunch hour). Stinker.

We had date night last night...which consisted of a breakfast for champions (we call it a Jethro...look it up) crowned with a drizzle of maple syrup and American Idol. I won't bore you with a commentary (even though New Jersey didn't impress me too much) but I will tell you I'm obsessing over Jenifer Lopez's skirt! Actually, I fell in love with pretty much her whole outfit.

Alrighty, the 30-30 challenge is upon us and I am seriously contemplating joining in...shall we folks?

Love, Ramsey

Ugh! I never seem to find stuff like that at my thrift stores. Score! And I love the dress. I'm going to have to head over to CR right now to see if I can find one. Gorgeous!

What a great dress. Good for you for going on a boots diet...don't hate me, but tan boots would have been PERFECT with this! ;-)

Definitely do the 30x30 challenge. I did it in November and can't wait to do my 2nd.

I signed up, it's going to be my first 30/30. Just do it! It will be a good experiment.
I love the shoes, very vinage/retro look with the maxi.

Can't seriously believe you got that amazing blazer for less than 2 bucks! ... That makes me wanna move over there, mexico doesnt't have any thrift store to my dismay! ... Love the outfit, blazers are something I've been trying to incorporate to my office outfits but I sometimes feel way to "old" but wearing it on top of a maxi would be so me! ..btw tell Dusty he did great!

Oo, it's tough to back away from the boots. Good job. And can we just talk for a second about that great dress and the AMAZING find that is your new blazer! I'm missing both of these items in my closet (a khaki blazer and a long feisty dress, I mean) and feel very sad about it now. Bummersticks. =) Lookin' good as always, Ramsey!

Oh, love the dress! I'm also contemplating the 30 for 30 challenge, but I just started blogging and don't think my blog will be a fashion blog, so perhaps not the best idea. Also, where I live it's summer so I would be doing the opposite of everyone else. Hmm...

First things first: the 30 for 30. Do it! You have some great pieces in your closet and I bet you could totally rock it. :)

As your outfit, love it! You can never go wrong with a maxi dress and blazer. And I don't know if I said it before, but I'm so jealous of your curly hair. If my hair looked like that naturally, I would totally keep it long and luscious like yours.

Unknown said...

Um, hi. Your hair is GORGEOUS and you pull this dress off so well. Love it.

Man I need that dress! Hahaha. I love a good maxi dress. And I'm thinking you should go for the 30 for 30. I'm thinking about doing it.

Great outfit, loving how you mixed up the ethnic dress with the preppy blazer. I did 30x30 last round, and found the getting dressed part easy but the taking pics every day tough. GL if you do it.
