Get your motor running...Head out on the highway

Picnik collage

Picnik collage

I know, we look fly in our aviators. And notice the fab necklace that my mommy got me for Valentine's. It's a guardian angel necklace with a pretty rhinestone flower on the other side. Dusty loves some Waffle House coffee. And, yes, we like to keep our kidneys in tip top shape. Dusty's phone is radder than mine. But he was driving, so I got to play with it. I know, I have the attention span of a three-year old.

So Dusty surprised me today with a mini beach trip for Valentine's Day. Ok, so he kinda cracked this week and told me early because the fella just can't keep a surprise, but it was still totally awesome. We toured the Bass Pro Shop {Try to conceal your jealousy}. And bought a new two-sided cast iron skillet which we are pretty psyched to try out. Then we headed to the bookstore where we curled up in some sunny chairs and devoured the Pioneer Woman cookbook. She is officially my new hero. Then we were basically starving, so we headed to The Shed. I know, food again. I swear we only eat four meals a day. Kidding. On Sundays we eat five. Seriously the most hilarious restaurant you will ever visit. It is literally built out of junk. I know, aaaawesome! We ate the sampler, which we renamed the plate of sin. It is pretty much a humongo pile of meat slathered in BBQ sauce with two piles of carbs on the side, slathered in mayo. Sin.Picnik collage

So naturally, we had to work it off with more outlet browsing and the day wouldn't have been complete without a trip to Goodwill. Dusty's a quick learner. Or I'm just a good thrifting coach. We'll go with option number two. I think he's gonna hire me as his personal shopper. I don't come cheap, but I'm thinking we'll work out a deal in kisses. And maybe some fleece pajama pant borrowing. I drive a hard bargain.
And here is what I wore today. Because you were all waiting with bated breath, I'm sure.

I hope you all had a fantastic Valentine's weekend! We plan to continue the celebration tomorrow. We like to take full advantage of our holidays.

Hugs to all of you lovelies!

fun, fun, fun!
I stumbled across your blog from Everyday, Everywhere and I'm a fellow southern gal blogger- from the New Orleans area. My husband & I head to that part of florida where you were at least 2X a year (sometimes more!)and no matter what the weather, it is one of the most relaxing, wonderful places on earth!

If you want to see a really funny version of The Shed, keep on driving west on I-10 and go to the original one in Ocean Springs, MS- that one is really full of silly junk- lots of fun stuff. :)

Your blog is super fun! Keep up the great work!
