I'm a Pepper

Button down: American Eagle, T-shirt: F21, Necklace: New York and Co., Belt: thrifted, Pants: Aeropostale (from forever ago), Leg warmers: F21, Boots: Madden Girl, Lunch box: Old Navy

So, in case you were waiting with baited breath to see what I purchased the other night at Old Navy, you've probably figured out by now that it was the lunchbox...and I'm a little in love with it. They seriously had an entire wall of these...aaaaahhhmazing! I was between this, Smurfs, or the classic Superman, but Dusty convinced me to go with this because he said that I was a pepper. I suppose that means I'm hot, or fizzy, or sweet. We'll just let me believe that it meant something good, k? K. And it was the only one left. Which made me feel special. I totally rocked it at school today because I'm nerdy like that. And I don't have time to stand in line at Hardee's for 30 minutes, so packing a lunch it is.

I'd like to take a moment to thank Florida State U for putting such a rad Starbucks in the library...it pretty much rocks. And the people that work there are seriously nice! It kinda made my day.

So, the awesome backdrop for the above pictures basically turned out to be the creepiest place ever. Ever. It's this old motel that is all broken down with no doors and plywood over some of the door holes. There are gross matresses spilling out and plants growing through the floor. Imagine a scene from a horor movie complete with the neon sign out front. As soon as we started taking these, my mom brought up the idea that this would be the perfect place for some drugged out crack addict to hang. Which, of course, totally freaked me out. So then we hurried a bit and scurried our butts back to the safety of the car.

Hope you lovelies had a wonderful Thursday! And guess what? It's Friday!!!

Love,

Ramsey

P.S. aparently my spelling is getting better because the yellow highlighter has become decreasingly liberal with it's markings.

Workin' 9-5

Blouse: gift/NY and Co., Blazer: gift/Ann Taylor Loft, Skirt: F21, Belt: hand me down from grandma, Tights: Shoe Station, Shoes: Shoe Station (Steve Madden I think)
Ok, well actually, 8-5, but that's not how the song (or movie) goes.
I had to get up yesterday to go to work. For a very long time. Normally this isn't bad because I actually like my job. But yesterday, it was raining. All. Day. Long. And everyone knows that rain calls for blankies, massive amounts of hot chocolate, a couch, and a stack of movies. Seriously, go check with your life manual under rainy days. I only love rainy days if I get to partake in the aforementioned activities. But as previously stated, I had to work. Fortunately, the rain took a break long enough for us to snap these pictures. This is not the most interesting outfit I've ever concocted, but I had to be super professional looking today, so colored/patterned tights were out. On a plus note, I got to wear the most awesome blouse EVER! I tried to get the detail to photograph, which is hard, because it's white. But it had rosettes all around the neckline and I'm pretty much completely head over heels about it!
Last night Dusty and I went on a date to Steak and Shake...basically the most awesome date place ever. I was a newbie to the Frisco Melt, but now I feel like we are best friends. It's pretty much the best grilled cheese sandwich you've ever eaten. With a hamburger patty. And special sauce. My mouth is watering right now as i sit in the library typing this. I think people are starting to stare. We, of course, had to tack on some milkshakes because you can't have S&S without the Shake. Mint-Cookies and Cream=awesomeness!!! And I love being able to dine somewhere without a crowd. Primarily because I tend to be excessively loud and silly when consuming good food and I hate to be a disturbance of the peace. We also took a little trip to Old Navy for some Dusty jeans and I got pretty much the best thing ever{which I will introduce you to later}. I also managed not to buy everything...which was tough, because I wanted to.
Alrighty, have an awesome day folks!

I Want to Know What Love Is

Sporting my new Christmas gifts today! YAAY for my mom being so good at picking out clothes for me!!!
Infinity Scarf: Charolette Russe, Sweater: NY and Co., Skirt: {new} F21, Tights: American Eagle, Shoes{completely love them} Shoe Station, Ring: F21, Belt: borrowed, Earrings: flirties

I don't know if I was just really feeling really romantic or something today or if it's that stores just kind of jump into Valentines Day before they can even put their Christmas decorations away, but I was just leanin' towards pink today with a little bit of animal print. I think Cutter liked the look. He gets really curious about the whole camera thing. So I decided he could be in one. Diva.

So, surprise surprise...we went shopping again today. After work, of course. I think I must have spent an hour and 1/2 in Forever 21. I could pretty much live there. I think they would frown on that, but I would be wonderfully dressed every day and I could just pop into MAC next door and have them do my makeup and I'd be all set. I am slightly disfunctional some days in the arena of makeup. Some days it appears that I have a black eye...so I usually stick to simple stuff. Thank goodness they haven't offered me a job. I would spend my whole paycheck on merchandise. Fortunately, I escaped with only a button up, a new pencil skirt, and a cute pair of shoes that I will model for you soon. Well, as soon as it gets a little warmer. Probably for like three days straight because I tend to get all excited about new clothes and not take them off. Well maybe to wash. I like to keep things sanitary around here sometimes.

Life is pretty slow around here but I like it. So I apologise if I begin to sound like a broken record. Don't worry though. Soon I will have school to complain about. Oh, the possibilities. On a more positive note, a miracle was just worked on my final grades. That was the only time I have ever checked my Blackboard with a smile on my face. I could seriously dance right now. But I won't because it's really cold and I am all snuggie in my blankie and such and wouldn't want to disrupt anything. I was really depressed with my grade and I just found out that the prof had messed up with the finals. Whew...I will try to contain myself.

Much love to you you all!

Oh there's no Place Like Home...

For Christmas Eve...

and Christmas morning too!

We had an amazing Christmas with all of our family...both furry and hairless. The only bad part is the inevitable return to the real world in just a few days time. Why is it that cold is festive up until Christmas and then after, it's just cold...and miserable? Ok, well to be fair, yesterday it was still fun but only because it snowed. Well actually, it flurried. Is that a word? Flurried? We Floridians know not of such. That was really exciting for us. So much so that we stood outside in our meager Floridian winter garb in 30 degree weather just so we could watch it fall. For about five minutes. Then we got cold. Don't laugh. Or do, because it is rather funny. And sad.

Anywho, I got completely spoiled beyond belief this year with an INCREDIBLE new Canon speedlight!!!!! a new Canon camera bag (I feel so professional now!), clothes, shoes, new makeup and brushes that I needed incredibly bad bad bad and lots of other wonderful amazingness. I feel so loved by all of my wonderful family and of course my honey...who you can see sporting his new suit above. Isn't he a hottie?!?! We thought he could use some professional attire for his upcoming interviews with graduation approaching and friends getting married and such.

As you can see, we ate well. Two fried turkeys in two days, party food, sticky buns, stuffing coming out of our ears. But not really, because that would be gross. Now, my only problem is that I have spent the last four (plus) days eating and sleeping and now all I want to do is eat and sleep. That's attractive, right?
Now I will sign off to go drink apple cider and devour my new Southern Living that I got in the mail today and pretend that I do not actually have to return to work and school shortly. You should do the same.
Love,
Ramsey

It's Because I'm Green Isn't It?

I have no idea what this quote has to do with the price of rice in China, but it's the Grinch and I like it, so there. We had a little fun...well let me restate that, I had a little fun playing with a new photo prop yesterday, dear lovie just got dragged along for the ride. Isn't this chair just completely amazing??? In LOVE! Dusty got pulled into another mini photo session, but in my defense, this lasted all of five minutes and he was very happy with the results. Poor thing finally got off of work early for the first time in about ever. He works 'till 6:00 or later every single day, unless he has class, in which case he gets off at five and hauls buggy to class 45 minutes away to be there at 6. So yeah, he's one tough cookie!

I hope you are all having a fabulous Christmas Eve day, or whatever we call this, and you don't have to brave the mall or Wal-Mart with their 3 aisles open, 5,000 shoppers, and .97 prices (what's with that???). I will be busting my bottom cleaning, baking, and decorating. Speaking of which, I need a refill on this coffee so I can hop to it...bllaagghh...

I wish you a day that is more organized than mine, holly, jolly, merry, and {whatever else you may want to insert here}!

Happy Christmas!

Love, Ramsey
