I've so become one of thoooosssseee people

Skirt, top, necklace, belt: F21 {they should so pay me to do this}, shoes: Steve Madden, Bangle: Premier, Shades: NY and Co.

I used to be the type that could pass right out as soon as my noggin hit the pillow. Actually, I think I clocked it a bit before once or twice. Dark, quiet, light, noise, I could fall asleep to and snooze through pretty much anything. But in my old age, I have fallen victim to the charm of the fan. And then once I became an admitted fan addict, I started with the water glass. Actually my water Tervis. I practically go through withdrawals when this thing does not grace my nightstand at night. It's like a binky. Except bigger. And it comes with a sippy cup lid, which is beyond awesome being that I have the drinking abilities of a three-year-old. And then I got the iPhone. And I downloaded the most adorable app that sounds like rain and goes into sleep mode at night. I fell hard and fast.

And now I am going to take my geriatric, fan and noismaker-loving butt to bed. Before 10:30. Because I'm fly like that lovies.

Ramsey

A birthday party

The birthday girl!

My great aunt and grandma

First off, I would like to send each of you a hug and a thank you for your tremendously wonderful response to our pictures! Whew...my arms are tired. Seriously guys, you are amazing and you give me the warm fuzzies each and every day. We loved them too.

Last night we went to my great aunt's birthday party, which was delicious. And warm. For realz, we had pizza {I filled that quota for the week}, hot pimento cheese dip, chips and dip, fruit and fruit dip {which I will be sharing the recipe for below, I know, right? WHOA! A recipe. Promise its so easy a caveman could do it. Where have I heard that before?}, brownies, and one of my personal faves, strawberry cake and ice cream. Ok, it makes me want some just thinking about it. And the weather, although a bit humid was super warm and nice compared to this nasty cold stuff we had this week. I love birthday parties!

Ok, so a recipe...I am soooo Betty Crocker. This goes awesomely on fruit of all kinds, or shortbread cookies, or your big finger. It's whatever.

1) Cut up your fruit.

2) Use a hand mixer to blend one block of cream cheese with one jar of marshmallow cream.

3) You could totally add a little red food coloring if you want to make it pretty in pink. I figured we have enough red dye in our lives.

4) Dip fruit in and repeat.

OMGeez guys...this stuff will change your life. Seriously, why do we only make it for parties?

And here is a really crummy picture. I promise it was really pretty before we devoured it. I was just too busy stuffing my face to pick up the camera.

Happy happy Saturday!

P.S. because this post just wasn't long enough already. She has gorgeous succulents. And she and my grandma are hooking me up with my very own succulent garden. I may just be a bit obsessed with these little darlings. Probably because they can stand up to my gardening thumb of death.

Kinda like J.Crew...but not

Shorts: F21, Blazer: Thrifted, Button-up: American Eagle, Scarf: Old Navy, Shoes: Payless

So I was looking through the spring clothes at J.Crew online and, well, isn't that how all things start? So anyway, there is this fantastic outfit that just sweeps me off my feet and I kinda go nuts over it and people are starting to stare, but it is just so perfect. You know the kind. Well, I just had to try and replicate the little beauty. With my very non-J.Crew wardrobe. So there you go.

I wish I had something more interesting to share with you than this sad little story about my outfit, but, alas, nada. Oh, well our muy grande plans for the evening include making soup and sammies for dinner and watching American Idol. Ok, see, nothing. Better luck for tomorrow guys.

The thing about windy days and skirts

IMG_9973IMG_9964

IMG_9969IMG_9967

Dress {worn as a skirt}: F21, Sweater: Borrowed, Belt: F21, Shoes: Target, Bracelet: Premier

So apparently, I missed the "we're going to be having 20-30 miles per hour winds all day" memo. Because I wore a skirt. More specifically, a flouncy, flowy, blows-up-over-your-head-at-the-slightest-gust-of-wind skirt. I would like to take this opportunity to apologize to anyone who may have seen my unders. At least they were pretty, right? It wasn't for lack of trying to keep them covered. Also apparent, the fact that the wind must have inspired me to think that if I spread my arms out I could fly. That was a fail.

The weather has been nuts here lately. A front came through {according to weatherman Dusty that's what is causing it}, so last night-in the middle of the night-I was woken up from a rather non-good dream by a roaring thunderstorm and lightening. Awesome. I assure you it is quite the way to end a bad dream. Anywho, the power went out. Before my phone had time to charge. So obviously my alarm wouldn't go off this morning and I would miss my first class. Because that would be my luck. Fortunately, Dusty loaned me his house {with electricity} so that I could get ready and the weather is right back to jolly and sunny now {albeit still windy and a wee bit cold, but I can't complain}. And I am skirt-free.

Oh, and in plus{er} news, Dusty, darling that he is, called this morning to get some info on me getting a business license for photography. Without me even asking. It was a nice bit in my day. I'll be official soon guys. Woo-to-the-whoo!

Instead of clothes

I did wear clothes today. I even took pictures of them. However, I just came out of a two-day-long editing haze and my wrist told me to chill with the Photoshop so that it wouldn't develop carpel tunnel. So, I'm posting pictures of this little beauty, who happens to be my cousin. I got to play hairdresser and photographer on Saturday, which is always a jolly. Ain't she pretty? I didn't even burn myself with the curling iron. It was a big day. We also went out for Cuban. We're kinda trying to expand our horizons. Well, actually, Dusty has a big project on the other Cuban restaurant in town and we were scoping out the competition. Sneakaaay. And Sunday I chased around two little nuggets all day and ended up with a headache on the couch. The headache may have been in part due to the fact that I stared at a computer screen like a zombie for an hour and a half editing these pictures. Dusty prescribed Niquil. Then I passed out. And then it was Monday. The end. Ok, feast your peepers.

Over here!

IMG_9624

I'm a guest today on Ma Nouvelle Mode today. So you should come check it out. Because I hear she baked cookies. Just sayin'.

And to those of you who pointed out that I did not put my Twitter name in my last post, you should know that I enter a state of delirium after 11:00 pm and all responsibility for what I say or do should be totally dismissed. Kind of like Cinderella and the whole coach to a pumpkin thing. Except for an hour earlier. I did, however post it on my sidebar. Sooooo, if you want to know the nitty gritty, right down to what I eat for breakfast, it's Love_Ramsey. Because apparently you guys are interested. Which absolutely gives me the warm fuzzies. Y'all are so sweet!

Love,

Ramsey
