So, I finally bit the bullet and got a Twitter account. I'm thinking this will allow us to communicate better. Because I hate that you guys come and see me every day and I can't respond back to each and every one of you darlings because there are simply not enough hours in the day. Unless I cut out sleeping. Which is not a good idea because you don't want to see me without sleep. Makeup is most certainly not present. Niether are clothes generally. It's rather zombie{ish}.

So anyways, I got the Twitter thing. Now I have to figure out how to use it. And download the Twitter app on my waaay high-tech phone that I might be completely smitten with. Blog, iPhone, Photoshop, Twitter. I feel like such a techie. In my mind, I'm practically Bill Gates.

As a plus, I think tweeting might be useful for recording those little moments that I want to share but sooo forget about by the end of the day. Like the odd fashion statements I witnessed on campus today. Count number 1: Man in apple green shoes. Not tennis shoes. Dress shoes. And a mint green dress shirt. Sorry dear sir, but St. Patty's Day has come and gone. Count number 2: Guy headed to gym with the most furry black mustache I've ever seen. If you know me, you know that I am so weirded out by the 'stache thing. This feller was rockin' an all out cop 'stache and gym shorts. In its own little way, it was kind of awesome.

So there you have it, follow me on Twitter and this is what you'll get. Or don't. Either way.

Ramsey

I hate study group nights. Actually I kinda hate school in general. Hate is a harsh word. I strongly dislike school. Right now anyway. Dusty's study group night sooo cuts into fun time. College is such a stink sometimes. It pretty much takes all of your time and divides it into three clumps: in school, doing homework, and thinking about doing homework. It's like the Bermuda Triangle of free time. Toot on you college, toot on you.

Sorry I'm in such a poopy mood. Perhaps I'll feel better after next week's paper is finished. Ahem, the last paper of my college {undergrad} career. Yeekes! In the wise words I once heard on a Pull-ups commercial, "I'm a big kid now."

Love,

Ramsey

P.S. {because what would one of my posts be without a P.S.?} Do we love the garage pics? Time was of essence today. I totally bust it on that weight bench by the way. How else do you think I got the mega guns?

We have a winner!

IMG_9585

IMG_9593

Before we announce who it is, allow me to share with you why you see above a picture of my fuzzy pajama pants and my dinner. I actually did wear a cute outfit today {ok, so it was cute in my mind, whether or not it was cute from an objective standpoint is hard to say. But let's just go with, "it was cute."} and I did my makeup, meaning more than mascara and blush, and my hair wasn't half bad considering that it had to stand up to a full day of mist. Bye bye lovely spring sunshine everyday. Hello cold, rainy mist. Stink. Stink. Stink. Stink. The problem lies not in the fact that it didn't get photographed, but in the why it didn't get photographed. Everyone was way busy tonight, and I had no one to play with. So I put on my fuzziest, stolen, amazing, teddy bear Kohl's PJ pants {not stolen from Kohl's, stolen from Dusty} and made myself a comfort sandwich. I feel much better now. Cubans and warm fuzzies will do that.

Alrighty, the winner. Ok, so who are we kidding. You're all winners, right? Feel the cheese guys, feel the cheese. Serious biz now. And the winner {generated by random.org} is...dah dah dah daaaahhh...Heidi, who said, "I am in love with the green chrysanthemum flower ring! thanks to you both for the giveaway!"

Congrats darlin'! Please head on over to see Michelle and shoot her an email at ooitsmagic23@aol.com with your contact information.

Thank you guys for your fabulous participation! Hope to do it again real soon!

Love,

Ramsey

P.S. I discovered that I make a really good Cuban. Not to brag. I just feel abundantly domestic and thought I would mention it. The key is the cast iron skillet and the smooshing. You must smoosh a good Cuban.

It was a glasses day

Dusty says these glasses make me look like a librarian. I'm going to assume that means a hottie librarian that all the boys are crushing on. See. Here we go again with the caricatures. Prep, safari explorer, librarian. I think this one is pretty tame.

In other news, it's official. I have solidified my love for Costco forever. And ever. Because we have discovered that they carry cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory. Yup, right there in the frozen aisle at Costco lies the epitome of sugar and cream cheese bliss, wedded together on a graham cracker crust. Three ginormous chunks are still nestled in my refrigerator as. we. speak. Knowing that makes life a little bit brighter.

Happy Monday y'all!

Ramsey

P.S. I'm going to be drawing a winner of the Bobbins and Bits giveaway tomorrow. So skedaddle on over and enter before it's too late!

Lions and Tigers and Bears....Oh my!

IMG_9537IMG_9540

IMG_9546IMG_9547

Dress: Old Navy {thrifted}, Belt: F21, Shoes: Target, Scarf: Old Navy, Bracelet: Premier

This outfit made me feel very safari{ish}. Because if I were going on a safari, this is precisely what I would wear. Obviously.

Like Jane from Tarzan. If, in fact, that was a safari. Which now I'm thinking it was not. More of a jungle explorer thing. I guess it could go both ways. Or maybe to Aussie land with Crocodile Dundee. I think I should catch up on my movie watching. My conception of character wardrobe is apparently quite confused. Slap on the wrist for not watching the classics.

Watch out, this week we've gone country club and safari. Next week, I'm thinking baker and scuba instructor. Bring on the chef hat and scuba mask. Whazammm!

Peace out and happy weekend lovies!

Ramsey

Be my guest

Guess what guys... I'm guest posting over here today. Question and answer style. So hop, skip, or jump on over because I know you guys just can't resist hearing me ramble on a bit more. Or maybe you can. But you should go say hi to Steffy regardless. Because she pretty much rocks.
Thanks Steffy!

I'm a prep

IMG_9535IMG_9533

Dress: Brook's Brothers {Thrifted for $4!!!}, Sweater: Gap, Belt: Thrifted, Shoes: F21, Scarf: Old Navy, Earrings: Flirties

This outfit was most definitely destined to be worn to a country club for a fabulous brunch. Oh yes, it was perfectly meant to be paired with crepes and strawberries and champagne {or in my case, sparkling juice}. And then, perhaps, for a few holes of golf or a game of badminton. Unfortunately, nobody got the outfit's memo. And no one took it out for a fabulous brunch. Or a round of golf. Not even a measly strawberry.

Nope, this outfit took it's little self to work and sat in a very uncomfortable desk for what seemed like a very, very long time. Next time, little seersucker dress, we will at least make it to a picnic. Pinky promise.

Ramsey

I bought a pair of the ugliest shoes ever

IMG_9524IMG_9507

IMG_9508IMG_9511

Top, Sweater, Yoga pants: Old Navy, Shoes: Payless
So yesterday, I went shopping and these little dearies happened to come on home with me. I've been admiring them for a bit now and I was just too cheap to bite the bullet and spend that much on such an ugly tennis shoe. But the promise of a toned booty with as little input as walking {Running is so not my fave. Post run: maybe, during: hating every step.} finally got the best of me. So, when I found these happies at Payless on sale for $24, they hopped right onto my toesies and I think I might be in love with them. Plus they give me about and extra three inches. Which is kinda cool, I guess.
By the way. This is not what I really look like working out. Ok, well maybe the hair. Which is pretty horrific. But add in a major tomato face. Because I get mega flushed if I so much as begin to get winded. This look is pretty much accurate for how I look on days when I don't post pictures of myself. See why? Yup. These yoga buddies are my besties for sure! Like PB and J we are!
Ok, I'm off to go test out my shoesies again before work! You'll know they work if I start posting a mass influx of rear shots. Not that i would do that. Ok, well maybe.
Love,
Ramsey

My first free "goody" at work

IMG_9206IMG_9207

IMG_9209IMG_9210

Maxi dress: Ross, Button-up: JCPenny, Shoes: Target, Bracelet: Premier
So this is what I wore on Friday. Told you I would wear these shoes again. There are few items of clothing that I absolutely recommend and these would be one of them. Like wearing bedroom slippers. With heels. And no fuzzy bunnies. Yours do have fuzzy bunnies, right? Because that totally makes slippers legit.
My boss called me at work on Friday to tell me that I would be receiving my first work handout. Company polo shirts. Awesome. Now I can't depend on a fun skirt to brighten my sometimes-cloudy days at work. Talk about squashing my creativity boss. Or maybe I will still wear fun skirts to work. This maxi would have totally worked with a muy largo company polo over it {Spanish for you mono-lingual readers out there}. Maybe tied in a big knot on the side. We are so takin' it back to the 90s. Fortunately, I would so fit in with the rest of my office in this getup. Ok, well maybe if I changed the maxi to mom jeans and Reeboks. Yup, that'd do it.
Thank goodness it's the weekend. And today, I will wear whatever tickles my fancy. Which will probably be PJs and maybe if I feel super industrious, I'll put on a swimsuit and truck it out to the pool. This weather makes me want to sunbathe. And have a cookout. Bring on the hamburgers and baked beans!
Happy Sundaying!

Ramsey

Didn't get pinched

IMG_9195IMG_9199

IMG_9196IMG_9197

Jeans: J.Crew, Shirt: J.Crew, Blazer: Thrifted, Necklace: Charolotte Russe, Shoes: Target, Belt: Thrifted, Ring: F21, Bracelet: Premier
So, I'm thinking these shoes and this necklace are beginning to wear out their welcome. Which means that tomorrow I will be coming up with something super inventive to replace the little darlings to which I've become super attached. Or it means that I will have a major discussion with my closet in the morning about finding said ingenious replacements to which the closet will respond that it does not work such magic before the hour of 8am. Which I will most certainly understand because my brain doesn't click on until approximately 8:00 either. And then I will feel sorry for my poor, overworked closet. And he will toss out my same shoes and same necklace and I will don the little buddies and trot off to work. Ok, well perhaps trot is an overstatement, but I will drag my sleepy tush to work like it or not.
By the way, did you guys wear green today? I was so not going to buy into the whole leprechaun {spelled that right the first time...hehe} thingy, but at the last minute, I felt guilty for being such a Scrooge and chunked on this emerald green t-shirt. I kinda felt like the Jolly Green Giant all day. But a professional Jolly Green Giant. Because I replaced the toga of leaves with a blazer. More school appropriate, no?
Happy St. Patty's!

Ramsey

Who wants to come be my personal Photoshop tutor?

IMG_9166IMG_9164

IMG_9178IMG_9177

IMG_9170IMG_9175

Shirt: JCPenny, Skirt: Old Navy, Shoes: Target, Necklace: Charolotte Russe

Guess what? My Photoshop CS5 arrived in the mail on Monday and I am beyond psyched because I know that the possibility of me being able to do some mega awesome creating and editing is sitting in the palm of my hand. {pause for emphasis} .................. If only I had more play time and could figure out how to use it. If anyone is interested, we could probably work out a deal. I'll teach you about criminology and the US court system and you can teach me photoshop. I know, the offer is tempting, so not everybody at once now. We wouldn't want you to trample over one another.
Seriously though, I have a photo session this weekend and you can bet your bottoms. It. Is. On. WhooHoo!!!

Posting a weekend review on Tuesday is totally legit

IMG_9138IMG_9144

IMG_9149IMG_9148

IMG_9134IMG_9133

Shirt: F21, Jeggings: WalMart, Shoes: Target, Necklace: F21, Bracelet: Premier

So I think I'm onto something here. Looking back at Saturday {almost} mid-week is definitely a mood improver. Tuesdays can be real bummers sometimes.

First a note on clothes. On a fashion blog, I know. I never seem to actually talk about what I'm wearing. I guess I think you all can see and make assumptions accordingly. But I have to brag. Because this shirt was a hand-me-down. How amazing right. I just love hand-me-downs like this! The butterflyish sleeves make me happy. And the eyelet. Mmmm.

I was feeling a bit stressed this weekend, so Dusty took me out for lunch to get my mind off school things. My choice. I chose hamburgers and eating outdoors. Shocker, I know, sometimes I like to throw a real wrench in things. We were feeling a little crazy, so we decided to head to Famous Dave's BBQ. Hamburgers at a BBQ joint, imagine! It turned out to be pretty fantastic.

IMG_9126

Would you look at this darling concoction! Nachos with baked beans, BBQ pork, ranch, cheese, and jalapenos. Gosh I could so use an order of these now. Notice Dusty's hand creeping in for a chip in the background. He couldn't wait for the photo opp.

I had the most wonderful sizzling off the grill burger and steak fries and Dusty got boneless bar-b-que wings. Which were sticky. And incredible. He has to get BBQ because hot stuff messes with his tummy. TMI. Sorry.

IMG_9128

Happy face. Pre-bar-b-que sauce. I was too busy nom noming to take an after shot. Stink. It was pretty cute.

IMG_9124

And he washed my car. Which hadn't been washed in mmmmm.... months. I know. Embarassing. It looked like this for all of 1 day because pollen season is here {golly geez! And my allergies feel the same}. Now we're back to yellow. Sorry baby!

IMG_9160

Hope you folks had a cheery weekend!

Love,

Ramsey
