Non Fishing

Blouse: Belk, Jeans: Abercrombie, Shoes: F21, Belt: thrifted, Boyfriend: mine...can't be bought

In case you are thinking that I went fishing yesterday, be not confused. That boat never left dry land. Just thought there should be some clarification. Mom was going to help me with outfit pictures for the day when Dusty {who we thought was busy cooking} ran over to get involved. See guys, he really does love all of this picture stuff. I picked a good one!

So our New Year's Day party was a complete BLAST! We had an all day ping pong tournament going down. Unfortunately, this only solidified my understanding that I am a complete ping pong failure. Low hand-eye coordination and hair that is always in the face do not amount to a champion ping pong player. Dad and Dusty fried up the most fabulous, huge, juicy chicken wings I have EVER had...seriously, as many wing joints as I've tried (I'm talking Hungry Howie's, Pizza Hut.....I kid, I've had better that those....but) these were the BEST by a long shot. Of course we had the traditional black eyed peas and collard greens with corn bread. Lots of southern cooking has got to be the most fitting start to a new year possible. After stuffing our faces for an extended amount of time (I'm talking snacking and munching for hours), Dusty and I smoked everyone else at Taboo. This is quickly becoming my favorite game. No real skills required (and no hand-eye coordination) just the ability to read the other's mind. Which apparently we are good at. Go us. Best Taboo clue of the day: Sister-I do this when I make water...answer-boil...sister's boyfriend answered correctly on the first try. Awesomeness. Finally, we napped the evening away while watching football bowl games. Or I napped. I have no interest in such games, except that they are excellent at putting me to sleep. Try it sometime, the gentle roar of the crowd cheering is like waves in the ocean. Or maybe I'm just strange.

Hope all of you rung in 2011 (wow, that's weird) in a most fabulous manner!

Unfortunately, the inevitable return to classes is just around the corner and I have to go notebook shopping today. I'm sure you will get a belly full of such talk soon, so I will spare you. For now.

Love,

Ramsey

How adorable are you?! And so photogenic. I wish I had been this stylish in college--you should have seen the terrible things I wore! My mother will be quite upset with me for not eating my black-eyed peas on New Year's. Have a great 2011!

This is such an adorable set of pictures!! You and your BF are really cute together. The location/background reminds me of Dawson's Creek (I'm not sure if you're too young to remember that show), but that makes me like it all the more.

Your not the only one that is lulled to sleep by the roar of a football game. I will do it every time! Super cute and love Ashley[Free Honey] Dawson's Creek reference! PRICELESS!

These pictures are TOO STINKIN' cute! I'm a big fan of the jeans and belt combo here.

As for football, second only to Benadryl for me. And the Sunday night football theme song will forever send chills up my spine. Like Pavlov's dogs, I immediately fear Monday morning.

I realize that I probably should have worn something a bit more winterized, but I just couldn't help myself. It was pushing 70 degrees!! And the flats were literally $13 at Target...get some! :)

(Since you approve these before they post, how do you handle people following your blog if they don't have a blog or profile of their own? It seems a bit sketchy to me. Maybe I'm being overly concerned?)
